The hot boiling sun was scorching and it was only 7.30am.After our delicious scrumptious breakfast we got ready to go abseiling, my heart was pounding like a tree blowing in the wind. Ten minutes had past and had felt like ten days. We were all ready to go. When we started to get our gear on, some people went to get some big, dry wood for the burning and scorching hot fire. We all had some delicious damper. After I had finished my damper it was my turn to go down the enormous Papa Bear. My heart was pounding as I was walking up the deserted forest to Papa Bear.
When I got to the top of the forest, I had to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes until my nerve racking turn. At about quarter of the way down the rope came to a sudden halt. When the rope stopped my heart started to beat faster than it had ever beaten before. When I finally reached the bottom, The Port Waikato activity group got ready to go back to camp after a very extremely busy day! By Cam
